Julie loves speaking and counseling women, teens, student-athletes, and people of all ages struggling with mental health concerns. She has spoken at numerous churches and schools – both Christian and secular; universities including Pepperdine, UCLA, Loyola Marymount, and Georgia Tech; and conferences, camps, and retreats throughout the country. She is a regular speaker with FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) at various schools in Georgia. She has been a regular partner, speaking with Christy Pierce at the Hawaiian Islands Ministries (HIM), the largest Christian conference in Hawaii, for over 10 years. She has led mental health trainings for parents, ministries, and church staff for the past 4 years. Her greatest joy is helping people experience God’s love in a personal way that empowers them to overcome negative thoughts and debilitating symptoms. Her heart is that she wants everyone to know the truth of God’s Word, to know the Father’s Love, to encounter Jesus in a real way, and experience the power of the Holy Spirit to be able to live in the fullness of God. She loves to encourage, empower, educate, and equip this next generation. She wants everyone to experience more of God’s peace, presence, and power in their life. She loves to help this next generation find their truth worth and identity in Christ that brings hope, healing, and freedom.
After graduating from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California with a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, Julie has worked as a discipleship counselor, youth pastor, and professional speaker with New Hope for Teens Ministry for the past 14 years. She founded the New Hope Counseling Center in 2019 in Atlanta, Georgia focusing on discipleship counseling for teen girls and women that helps them exchange lies for Truth and experience God’s Grace based on the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross.
