Julie founded the New Hope Counseling Center in 2019 focusing on Christian counseling and discipleship for teen girls and women. She helps them exchange lies for truth and experience God’s grace based on the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. She loves speaking and counseling women, teens, student-athletes, and young adults struggling with mental health concerns. She has spoken at numerous schools and churches-both Christian and secular; universities including Pepperdine, UCLA, Loyola Marymount, and Georgia Tech. She has traveled around the country speaking at conferences, camps, retreats, and churches of all denominations. She is a regular speaker for Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Athletes in Action ministries. Julie worked with her mentor, Christy Pierce, and the 1024 movement for over 6 years helping with research, resources, and speaking to bring hope for a hurting generation. She currently partners with the Wonderfully Made Ministry offering resources through mental health workshops, several podcasts episodes, and as a teen girls Life Coach for their THRIVE program.
As a Christian counselor and former therapist she has also specialized in working with kids, teens, adults, couples, and families working through every type of issue including depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, eating disorders, low self-esteem, perfectionism, communication and conflict resolution, child behavior problems, trauma, grief and loss, faith and spiritual issues, stress management, and relationship and family issues.
